When looking to choose the ink that is right for you, you first need to determine if we can support you and your printer with a Continuous Inking System (CIS) or empty cartridges. Please click for more information on the CIS Supported Printers, or on Empty Cartridges. If we can support your printer in one of these two main ways, then we are certain to have an ink that you can use. Not all inks are created equal, however, and there is no such thing as the ‘perfect ink’; although all of the inks we sell have very strong selling points, some have characteristics that may not make them suitable for everyone. The best way for you to get an understanding of which ink may be right for you, is to take a look at our Ink Information Sheet v1.20 (Acrobat pdf 386kB, opens in a new window). Not all inks will work on all printers, so start by looking at the Printers column on page 2. Identify which inks will work on your printer, and note the broad criteria indicated by the checklist, to get a shortlist of possible inks for you. The first page of the document also contains some key points about each ink, and in addition, we have many other resources about each ink. For example, you may like to refer to: - If you are a 2100 printer owner, you might like to refer to our 2100 CIS Options page, which covers which inks are suitable for use in that printer;
- Our other Inks Info pages which go into much more detail about the ink characteristics, hints and tips for use, and so on.
Please note that MWORDS has closed. We aim to retain these support pages in the hope that they may benefit our past customers, but regret that we can no longer offer further comment or support in relation to the information above.
