The ‘Parking Pad’ is a small physical part of the printer where the print head rests when not in use. Most inkjet printers seem to have this parking pad to the right of the printer casing, as you look at it. Although different printer models vary, the parking pad is often the place where cleaning cycles are run, and waste ink is pumped down into absorbent pads in the base of the printer. There is usually some sort of mechanism to seal the parking pad up under the printhead, to help prevent the ink pad drying up. Please note that MWORDS has closed.
