The modified ink cartridges that are pre-drilled and have the ‘elbows’ fitted in place ready for attaching ink-lines. Whilst you may need one of these if you want to change the ink type in your CIS, you can also use them if you wanted to make your own. However, we don’t really recommend that - these CIS kits are well constructed and they really do bring everything you need together in one box. The alternative is probably to spend hours and hours searching for sources for appropriate tools and products, and then a similar length of time constructing the thing!
