Based on years of experience with inkjet printers, electronic items, and generally being ‘mechanically minded’, this page features plenty of hints and tips for resolving printer problems. Where the Printer Info pages concentrate on more general issues such as choosing a printer, general problem analysis etc., this page focuses more on the actual tasks you may need to perform to fix printer problems.
Please bear in mind the following when reading and considering undertaking any of the procedures noted:
If you are an MWORDS customer using a third-party product that we have sold you, please contact us if you are experiencing any problems. The information contained here may be of use to you, but we can often point you to the most appropriate solution very quickly, once we have some basic information about the problem you are experiencing. There is plenty of information that will not be helpful to you, in certain circumstances, and may make things worse - hence our request that you contact us! If we find the problem to be caused by the product we sold you and you are still under warranty, we will of course work to rectify the problem. We are usually able to provide email support for our products well past the warranty period.
None of the procedures noted here are endorsed or condoned by any printer manufacturer, to our knowledge. If you have a printer problem and are not using third-party products, we would strongly encourage you to approach your printer company’s support departments for their guidance, prior to considering the sort of procedures we recommend.
This page is intended for use by customers of MWORDS, but is open to view to all with an internet connection.
