Experienced users of Fotonic inks will certainly find purchasing in bulk bottles (and with a CIS) an excellent way to reduce their costs... users new to Fotonic inks will find the broad characteristics in the headings below. Bear in mind however that there are several different formulations of these inks, for different brands / types of printer. So, whilst they are all known as ’Lyson Fotonic’, we help identify the differences between these inks by using the ‘LF’, ‘LV’ and ‘L2’ tags. (We are not currently selling the LV ink formulation, however). Key PropertiesLyson Fotonic inks combine excellent colour rendition properties with a long indoor display life on certain media (up to 69 years on some media, based on Lyson longevity tests of predicted longevity). As with other inks, and dye inks in particular, colour rendition and longevity will be heavily dependent upon the media used and the display conditions. Important to some will be the availability of generic profiles for certain Epson printers from the Lyson website. Users hoping to use these profiles should check their compatibility prior to purchasing the inks. As ever, the very best colours will be achieved with a bespoke profile made just for you based on a print from your printer. Also, the number of profiles for each printer is limited, and they are only available for a limited number of Lyson brand papers! |
